What might be the best advice is not to converse ad nauseum with barbers on the subject of hair disposal for fear of a developing Sweeney Todd episode. 😛
The 10 yr. old seedless Valencia orange keeled over, not completely though as the stems are still flexible. It’s always something in the soil being the root cause of the issue, so to speak.
Grabbing a sweet sarsparilla from a retailer nearby isn’t as easy as it sounds, due to seed acquisition and propagation. Many of these plants produce seeds which require the digestive systems of certain birds for germination, which may not go all that well in a partly degraded environment. Finding them in their natural habitat also comes with the caveat of getting there before the wildlife, and occasioning any fruit found on our dioecious catch.
