In my case, set up this in VirtualBox version 7.16 (recent):

Could never get the network going, the ipconfig on the VM was never anything like that on the host. Then this came up in Google, fantastic, will try sometime.
The March of Progress: VirtualBox now requires VT-x/AMD-V enabled in the BIOS/UEFI, despite it being disabled by default in the GUI.
