The border protection folks have done a pretty good job of keeping citrus greening out of the country, so don’t think it was the cause as there was no discolouration in the last fine crop of oranges. Can never be absolutely sure though. 🙁
Beauty berries are … beautiful, and our feral deer would certainly go party on them. Unusual as a deciduous subtropical – haven’t seen any in nearby nurseries to date.
There is a will and intention one day of getting close and personal with Big Spotty, in the meantime the urgency is to attend the so-named “Old Grump” tereticornis down by the dam as he/she has not had the best from our current weather behaviours. Not even half the height of Spotty, closer to half the girth perhaps.
Acquired an attractive Lemon Sherbert Coleus (or Plectranthus) from North Queensland- it has a marvellous fragrance and taste.

Also eager to procure Cremnus, another aromatic and hairy plant.
The brass “nozzle” sprayer on this garden hose gets very sticky to turn in adjusting for fine spray, tried various greasy/oily lubricants, even Tri-Flow with hardly any improvement in the twist. The connecting parts which are visible look clean, can’t speak for the other parts. Various denizens of GoogleLand say soak the thing in vinegar to clean before applying a silicone based lube, as it won’t wash away too quickly in the rain.
