The last time I used AI Suite, it was pretty slow. Granted, this was about a decade ago or so. Fortunately, Microsoft is working on a package manager for Windows so that should help streamline everything. The unified interface for managing everything else, though, is definitely a good idea. In that regard, Windows really lags behind Linux.
On the note of drivers, an “optional” video driver update appeared in Windows Update the other day so I should probably do it the proper way before WU breaks things again by force installing 😛
